Joyce Valenza’s Neverending Search

New video resources–Shambles rocks!

April 8, 2007 · 1 Comment

Chris Smith has long maintained Shambles, the wonderful resource pages for all things Web and Web 2.0.   He’s now putting together video blogs libraries to help us learn and teach.  Take a look at his Web 2.0 films (great for inservices!), his collection on learning the alphabet (of many languages!) and his library of viral ads (for media study and for fun).

THANK YOU, Chris.

Many thanks for the kind words …. as we all already know … it’s great to get a pat on the back sometimes … ’cause we’re all probably working much harder than we are contracted to. If only I could bottle whatever it is that produces that self-motivation to go above and beyond.

Glad you like the “Forest of Theme Blogs” (mainly videos) I’ve started growing recently around Shambles … there is now one page that lists them all at
    http://www.shambles.net/blogforest/

There seems to be a large proportion that have specific relevance to library and media staff … I wonder why that is. ;-)

The forest will continue to grow and propagate … UUMMMmmm … maybe I should change my name to Robin Hood … an interesting metaphor in there somewhere.

It was especially challenging building some of these recently as YouTube has been blocked in Thailand (where I live) for the last week … hope they unblock it soon.

… and while I’m here I wonder if any readers have listened to the Podcast interview series with Library staff in International Schools in S.E.Asia … I’m having some real fun doing these.

So many opportunities and so little time ….

    Keep well
    Chris

P.S Thanks to Sue in HK who (unknowingly) led me here … the world really is shrinking (not sure if that is a good or bad though)
