2-minute seder

April 3, 2007 · 2 Comments

While browsing around for a few new holiday ideas, I discovered a surprising number of online haggadahs. One of them brought me way back to those neverending meals at the crowded family table back in Brooklyn. So, if you are celebrating in a hurry, or if you have a bunch of tired children at your seder, try this:

Joyce, ours wasn’t two minutes, but my uncle has taken a creative approach: rush through to the wine and nibbles (and he’ll use any custom whatsoever in interpreting what nibbles there’ll be!), charades for the plagues, and then on to the meal. And, of course, the wine is flowing freely, so even the brief time we spend on the seder part is very pleasurable!

I’m sad that I can’t be at our seder this year- eat a matzoh ball for me! I miss you!
